If you prefer to stick to clean, highway roads, you’ll have very little mud, dirt, snow, or sand on your Jeep’s floor. Off-roading is an entirely different story: dirt and snow are an essential part of this “sport” – you can’t get away from that. So, to protect your precious four-wheel-monster, I highly recommend getting your hands on one of the best floor mats for Jeep.

Buyer’s Guide
As you can see, the market of floor mats has a lot to offer. There are dozens of big-name brands that deliver top-quality products at a reasonable price. But if you don’t even know the first thing about mats, you get kinda lost at a local store or when trying to order online. That’s exactly why I made this guide: to help you better understand what to look for in floor mats. Join me, and let’s check out the key factors that will determine how good (or bad) the mats are.
A Perfect Fit
First things first, we all want Jeep floor mats that fit. Nobody out there wants to do any bending or cutting. True, some mats are pretty easy to trim (even with regular scissors). Still, a set of floor mats that fit perfectly is what you should go for. All the leading manufacturers use laser scanning and 3D computer design to make sure the mats follow the contours of your vehicle.
In general, factory mats are decent in quality and cover most of the carpet. A top-notch third-party set, however, covers every inch of the floor and keeps the Jeep nice and clean. My advice to you: always look formats with precision digital laser scanning both for the front and the back.
Should be Easy to Clean
This is another important aspect of a good set of floor mats. If you’ve been driving since the 80s-90s, you already know that back then, cleaning a Jeep’s floor was a drag. Well, not anymore. These days, engineers are doing an amazing job with the design, making it accumulate all the liquids and protect the carpet and the driver’s/passenger’s feet from all the mud, snow, water, and dirt.
That way, you won’t have to clean your shoes for hours or scrub the Jeep’s floor with some rags. As for the mats, if you’ve got a hose at home, you’ll be amazed by how easy it will be to clean them. Thanks to the rubberized character of the floor mats (made of high-density materials), all the dirt and mud will be gone in no time. Don’t worry: even if there’s no hose lying around, water-plus-soap will also do.
Protection against “Natural Messes”
Again, I’m talking about mud, dirt, water, snow, and everything else that you’ll “pick up” when off-roading. Deep-rib mats are usually the best choice for this. Thanks to an advanced chevron-shaped tread pattern, they trap whatever you bring with you into the Jeep’s interior after walking around in the wilderness. Oh, and make sure to pick a set of all-weather mats so that you won’t have to change them every three to six months.
TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) is one of the most elastic materials on planet Earth. It’s also nonslip, which is incredibly important when it’s raining outside or snowing. So, if you see “TPE” in the specs, that means you’ll never have to switch those mats for anything else. Last but not least, check the specs for “odorless”: that will make your adventures so much more enjoyable.
Durability and Reliability
Long-lasting, fade-resistant Jeep floor mats are very hard to crack or to break. There’s nothing worse than investing in a good-looking set only to realize later that it’s not exactly durable. The best mats don’t bend or warp even when it’s extremely cold or hot outside.
Warranty
When it comes to warranty, international brands have a different understanding of this word. With some companies, you’ll get a limited warranty, meaning they will only cover certain situations (like a product that was damaged/with defect upon arrival). Then there’s the satisfaction guarantee, which ensures you’ll get free replacements and repairs. Again, this can mean different things, depending on the manufacturer.
If you’re living in the States, it might be a good idea to buy your floor mats from a US-based company. That’s because shipping and replacement won’t take much time, and they’ll most likely cover all these expenses.
They’re usually quite affordable, come in a pack – cover both the front and the back – and do an amazing job of keeping the Jeep clean. For the sake of this review, I personally tested hundreds of floor mats before making a list of the best of the best. And, I’ve divided them into groups of three, each fitting a specific Jeep model(s). Ready to check them out? Let’s get right to it then!
